Vehicle Information Year: 1979 Make: Kawasaki Model: KZ1000 Color: Mileage: Price: $2,600 -  Loan Calculator Sale Type: Description: '79 KZ1000 built iin 1999 by Guy Cordova, owner of Expert Motorcycle. (Blue Island, IL) He built this bike for 1/4mi drag racing, then I purchased it in 2000. I had him convert this to street-drag by installing smaller cams & carbs, with the proper adjustments, etc. The frame has been modified and dropped. The custom swing-arm has a 4" stretch (with wheelie-bar insertion points). The front-end has been raked (unsure of exact degrees, but email with questions). Body has a custom deep red/maroon paint job. The tail is a custom-built, stretched to meet the added length of bike. The rear light is a 2000 Honda Shadow lamp, with custom-made, tucked-away fender & license plate bracket (replacing the giant original lamp and fender). Seat has been chopped. Custom, lowered handlebars. Euro headlamps & brackets, straight from England. Aftermarket shocks & springs. Metzler tires, 5 years old, and spoked wheels. Pingle chain-guard. The motor too is completely custom. It has a 900-crank (which has been strengthened) and a 1015 bored-out block, with a J model head. Vance & Hines drag header & pipe. Adjustable drag-racing ignition Earls oil cooler and plumbing. This bike was built to be fast, and runs on 50/50 racing fuel. If requested, I should be able to get the engine specs. Bike hasn't been ridden in about 18 months. The last lift and timing adjustments were done about 2 years ago. The engine has approximately 5K mi., but odometer lists about 30K. The bike has some damages. There is a small dent on the tank, shown in the picture. It also has the usual scuffs and scratches to paint & chrome. The brake pedel is bent from a time the bike tipped over (not crashed). I'm sure it will need the carbs cleaned and adjusted w/ fresh fuel & oil.
